Chronicles of a Late Bloomer

The brief:

I pushed and got my surgery scheduled for 11/6/08. I made arrangements for my sister to fly out and help me with the first few days at home after my outpatient gallbladder removal.

I had complications during the surgery and have been hospitalized since 11/6. My sister extended her stay but ultimately had to leave Thursday evening. My dad is here now, and hopefully he’ll be able to transition me home before he also has to return to his normal life.

I have been NPO (not allowed to eat or drink anything) for much of my time here, though I don’t think I will consider the anorexia of hospitalization as part of my weight loss journey.

Finally, my crushboy has visited me here every damn day. Yes, that’s the first time I’m mentioning him.
