How sad is it for me that berries + eggs + milk + oats did not equal muffins in my mind? Raw ingredients mostly look like useless space fillers to me. That would explain why today I've eaten two cheese quesadillas, two corndogs, and a bowl of Cocoa Puffs. But I used soy milk on the Cocoa Puffs. That's got to amount to something, right? ... Right?

good post -

the food banks (here) have fresh veggies and healthy food available. that might be something to check out. Or do you know any retirees with large kitchen gardens - they usually have much more than they can use and are glad to give it away - I would guess NO - or you would have mentioned it.

I know you were talking about NO $ - but your posting made me want to eat (feed everyone at my house) out of my freezer and see how long it will take me to clean it out and then be able to defrost it. Amazing how stuff het tucked into the corners and sort of lost.

good for you in being creative and finding good ways to use what you have.
