Gratitude

Many, many thanks to those who have commented or emailed in the past few days. Your words of encouragement have meant so much to me. I continue to nurture a clarity about this difficult decision and feel that it will all, eventually, be for my good. Several of you have emailed more than once and I truly appreciate you.

As a sidenote: Losing roughly 10% of my body weight has put me into size 24 pants. In December, I was overflowing my size 28’s.

Thank you, thank you for your kindness to an anonymous stranger.

Starting a blog has turned out to be one of the most important steps I’ve taken as part of my ongoing mission to save/change my life. I too have found myself, more than once, overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity that others have shown to me, “an anonymous stranger.” The thing is, even though we may not *know* one another in the traditional sense, our struggle is achingly familiar, and I find the honesty and genuine goodwill of the people I have met online to be of great comfort. That said, I’m so glad that you too have experienced this support. I truly hope you find peace in the days to come.

One more quick note, while I’ve only just stumbled upon your blog, I’ve spent the last day or two combing over your archives. I feel as though I recognize your voice. Put another way, you make sense to me and I’m glad to have found you.

Sorry things have been so difficult for you, I hope they get easier soon. Congratulations on the weight loss, you’re doing really well! I love my bento box too, I sold my soud to the hyaku-en store (Japanese version of the dollar store) many a moon ago.

“anonymous stranger”… aren’t we all? And, honestly? You are the brave one for putting it out there… and letting us have a window into ourselves. Maybe that is why it works so well. I’m just glad you find solace and support in us, just like I (we?) have founding reading your journey. So hang in there! And congrats on the pants! Yahoo!
